How to work?
Acupuncture is a method of recovering form pain by applying needles at the acupoints chosen along the channels and collaterals.
Acupuncture has a long and venerable history. It has developed to be a subject with rich practical experiences and systematic theories, and used in wide application in rehabilitation and treatment of many pain. The key element is to take "the experience of needling sensations" actions of acupuncture into full play through the functions of reaction, transmission, and regulation of the channels and collateral's. Modern studies have shown that acupuncture, not only has optimal regulating functions to the respiratory, urinary, digestive, and card-cerebral vascular systems, but also exerts regulatory action on the function of the neuroendocrine systems, such as: the pituitary adrenal cortex system; the sympathetic adrenal medulla system; the pituitary gonad system, and the pituitary thyroid system. Also, on the functions of the incretory glands: the parathyroid glands; the islets of pancresa, etc. It can, in addition, improve the human body immunologic functions and raise the indexes of these functions, thus strengthening the ability of the body to resist, and to help recover from disease; antiallergic, anti-infection, and antineoplastic abilities.
In acupuncture it is essential to adhere to the traditional Chinese medicine principle of diagnosis and treatment on the basis of differentiation of symptoms and signs. Traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis depends on the doctor's sense of organs and questioning to acquire clinical insight, then to analyze, generalize, and infer through logical thinking without resorting to any apparatus. The reason why a doctor can diagnose internal pathological changes by observation and analysis of external signs, when unable to inspect the pathological changes in the interior directly, is that the human body is an organic whole with its parts intimately and inseparably connected with each other by channels and collaterals. The internal is related with the external, and the exterior with the interior. Pathological changes inside of the human body are inevitably shown outward as abnormalities in complexion, spirit, pulse, and even changes of the tongue. Therefore, it is possible to judge internal pathological changes by exploring these external changes. In addition, now traditional Chinese medicine also makes use of modern technology like x-ray, blood test, etc.
Please treat acupuncture with an open mind. Acupuncture is based on experiences ( I continue the acupuncture experiences handed down in the family for generations) which is different from lab science, but they can be combined with each other for better results. The only way to find out how great of acupuncture is to come for a visit. You are always welcome to inquire further information by calling.
